QCTO Project Specialist
Who are you? Nadia Traut, originally from Cape Town. The eldest of four, I was given the freedom and support to travel, study and pursue my career goals (which has led to my very recent move to Joburg and INSETA). I am an avid sport player, I love reading and I have an almost obsessive love for chocolate!
What does working at INSETA mean to you? Coming from a training provider background, I have always worked with SETA’s and now I have the opportunity to sit on the other side of the fence – I hope this new role will allow me to expand my experience and knowledge, as well as provide a chance to make a meaningful contribution to skills development in our sector.
Influences in your life? I am blessed to have been mentored and nurtured by strong, female role models from my very first job as a graduate. The combined expertise and tireless coaching first of my mentors have shaped my professional life and moulded me into the assertive, ethical, customer centric, professional person I am today.
Favourite place? Cape Town
Where have you worked before? I have worked as an Academic and Project Manager for a Private HE and FE training provider, and more recently I managed the Provincial learnerships for a department of the Western Cape Provincial Government.
What do you do to relax? Listen to music, play sport, read.
Who is your hero? My parents – who taught me that with integrity and perseverance I can achieve anything that I set out to achieve!
