| Composition |

| Establish committees as provided for in Sections 12 and 13
of the Skills Development Act. |
| According to Section 11 of the Skills Development Act a SETA may consist
only of members representing: |
- Organised labour;
- Organised employers, including small business;
- Relevant government departments; and
|
| If the Minister, after consultation with
the members referred to above, considers it appropriate for the sector: |
- Any interested professional body;
- Any bargaining council with jurisdiction in the sector.

| Responsibilities & Duties |
|
| The INSETA Council is responsible for the following functions and duties: |
- Appoint a Chief Executive Officer and such other employees
necessary for the effective running of the SETA
- Determine the scale of remuneration of the permanent
employees of the SETA
- Determine the terms and conditions of the employment of
the Chief Executive Officer and other permanent employees of the SETA
- Determine the strategic direction of the SETA
- Formulate the general policy of the SETA
- Approve the annual budget and business plan of the SETA
- Approve the Sector Skills Plan of the SETA
